wes here, i run the place. this board is for slide-in truck campers. hard-sides like Lance, Northern Lite, Host, Arctic Fox and Cirrus, and the pop-up crowd too, Four Wheel Camper and the rest. if it rides in a pickup bed and you sleep in it, it belongs here.

there are three boards. Camper talk is the box itself: fridges, jacks, roofs, slides, batteries, loading it on and off. Trucks, suspension and tie-downs is everything under it, and that is where the payload fights go. Buying and auctions covers prices, which yard or seller the rig came from, and the surprises after it got home.

the one rule i will actually enforce: put your rig in the question. truck year and model, bed length, single rear wheel or dually, then camper year and model. "will my truck carry it" with no truck named gets a reply from me asking which truck, and nothing else happens until you answer.

the rest is normal stuff. no selling in threads. if you work in the trade, say so once in your first post, like torklift_installer already did in his intro. be decent to the pop-up people.

new accounts get handed out over email until i get the spam under control. send me your rig and the nearest town.

signed up from Laramie. one request wes. could we get a thread where people post actual CAT scale tickets, truck model, camper model, wet or dry, steer and drive axle numbers? brochure weights are fiction and every payload argument i have read on the internet goes in circles because nobody posts a ticket.

good idea. post your tickets in the truck board as you get them and i will pin the best thread once there are a few real ones in it. 43 accounts so far. i expected maybe a dozen by the end of june, for something i set up over a long weekend.
